2017 Science Fair Details

  • 67 students constructed 26 Rube Goldberg projects in teams from 1 to 4.
  • Tech Day is a Maker Faire style event that also included a trebuchet, robots, a coding school, air rockets, and 3D coloring.
  • 425 students submitted 324 Life, Physical and STEAM Science Projects, plus approximately 150 students participated in 8 class projects. This is over 15% more projects than 2016.
  • 455 students visited the science fair Wednesday and Thursday to view the projects!
  • Total awards are about $4,000 in prizes this year! We have been able to continue funding the increase from last year. This does not include participation rewards provided by Costeaux Bakery to every student.
  • Over $7,000 was donated by local individuals and organizations to provide cash awards and prizes
  • 4 teams of two judges returned Wednesday to interview all the first place winners to determine Best of Group and Best of Show winners, which will be announced tonight!
