Fund Raising Coordinator

Overall Responsibility

  • Raise money to meet budget needs

 Support Required

  • If desired, volunteers to help with sending of Thank You Notes 

Tasks

  • Solicit new donors with Committee
  • Solicit new donors from Chamber of Commerce, etc
  • Update Donor List as needed
  • Obtain from Chair some basic statistics for use in the solicitation letter
  • Collaborate with Chair & Communications to draft solicitation letter
  • Send out solicitation letters approximately 8-10 weeks prior to fair
  • Follow up with phone calls and/or second letters 2-3 weeks prior to fair
  • Provide list of donors and amount donated to Communications Coordinator to:
    • Create donor thank you sign (work out latest time available to still print it)
    • Place thank you advertisement in Healdsburg Tribune (if used)
    • Update website
  • Provide checks to Treasurer for deposit into Science Fair Account
  • Status committee on fund raising status as needed
  • Provide donation jar/box during registration, judging, public viewing, awards night
  • Send thank you letters to all donors
