Volunteer Coordinator

Overall Responsibility

  • Organize volunteers to fill all the needs for the event

Support Required

  • None

Tasks

  • Work with other event coordinators to provide them Volunteers as they need for their duties
  • Current Volunteer Positions Needed:
    • Organizing Committee (keep eyes out for possible additions to core group)
    • Science Fair Judges
    • Judging Dinner
    • Tech Day Judges
    • Tech Day Organizing
    • Registration
    • Hosting Public & Schools
    • Awards Night Hand-Out
  • Maintain a list of potential volunteers
  • Maintain a list (database?) of past volunteers and what roles they played
  • Communicate regularly with organizers and volunteers via email / phone
  • Schedule positions, manage cancellations, and track attendance.
  • Identify and Schedule hosts to be at Villa during public viewing hours

Records

  • Volunteer lists (potential, current, past & attendance)
  • Master Calendar for all events

Volunteer Coordinator Notes

  • It would be a good idea to create volunteer sign-in sheets for each day.
