Hands-On Fair

Starting in 2006, the Hands-On fair was introduced. This provided an opportunity for K-5 grade students and their parents to come equipped only with a curiosity to learn about science. Several hands-on learning stations are set up around a common theme. In the past the themes have included energy transfer, optics, solar, and water technologies. This is usually put together by high school students and is a hit with younger students.

In 2015 theTech Day Hands-On-Fair featured Museum-on-the-Go exhibits by the Children's Museum of Sonoma County, including:

  • Giant Geo-Board
  • Magnet Table
  • Musical Nails
  • PVC Pipe Organ
  • Gravity Washers
  • Marble Run
  • Taleidescope
  • Air Cannon and Wind Wall
